What East Cobb Residents Should Do Before Booking a Chimney Sweep
Don’t waste time (or money) on a sweep if your chimney’s not ready. First, check for obvious blockages—like fallen leaves or bird nests—by shining a flashlight up the flue. If you see soot stains on the fireplace mantel or smell gas when lighting up, skip the DIY test and call us immediately. Smyrna’s humid summers mean creosote dries faster, so if your last sweep was over a year ago, book now before flue fires become a risk. Pro tip: If your dryer vent cleaning was last done in 2023, schedule both services together—we offer discounts for bundled work.
How Fast Can We Sweep Your Chimney in East Cobb?
Response times depend on demand, but we prioritize East Cobb homes with active fire hazards (like glowing embers in the flue) or smoke backdrafts—common in older Smyrna homes with unlined chimneys. For routine sweeps, expect a 24–48 hour slot during weekdays; weekends fill faster. Need an emergency? Text your address and we’ll assess on-site within 6 hours. Unlike big chains, we’re a Smyrna-based team with insurance and licensing—no subcontractors showing up unprepared.
